Easter: Part Two

The Easter Bunny came in the night and brought some baskets, Emerson ate an entire box of Hello Kitty jellybeans, the girls ran out and hunted for eggs,

and shared them,and were happy.

The bunnies came out nicely. The eggs did too.
We tried out natural dyes this year - we soaked six eggs in water with beets overnight (red) and six eggs in water with boiled red cabbage (blue). I think they turned out beautifully, but my favorites were the naturally green eggs. Natural, as in they came out of the hen that way. The other eggs looked pretty, but because they boiled for so long, they weren't good to eat. What's the point of using "natural" egg dyes when you can't eat the eggs?

Ophelia seconds that.
The girls took the tissue paper off the eggs they had blown and decorated the days before.
The Hutchinsons left, and the Moultherriens went out for Easter dinner at the Hope and Olive, which is the best restaurant in the valley right now, as far as I'm concerned. If you haven't been there, GO! It's worth it.I only wish I had been able to sit down and enjoy my meal...She's trouble.

It's a good thing she's cute.
